Critter Connections

This weekend family program allows visitors to get up close and personal with the Museum’s living collection. Following deliberate and thematically planned encounters with live animals visitors explore biology, ecosystems, and conservation measures.

Egypt Living History

Visitors journey to Ancient Egypt with help from local actors in this living history demonstration. Society, technology, architecture and religion are explored in this special program. By providing  this compelling way to explore ancient Egypt, visitors experience a deeper connection to a civilization that has made such an impact on our world today.

Paleo Lab

The “Paleo-Lab” features real, live, up close and personal paleontology in action. Thanks to a fabulous partnership with the Geo-Science department at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and under the tutelage of University Professor, Paleontology Research Associate and Museum Board Member, Dr. Josh Bonde, graduate students clean, investigate, and prepare fossils in the Lab as children and families look on, ask questions and witness some pretty amazing discoveries.
