Fossil Day

On October 14 from 10:00am - 3:00pm, celebrate National Fossil Day at the Museum!  Join the Protectors of Tule Springs and the Las Vegas Natural History Museum as we celebrate fossil discovery in Southern Nevada.

See a Clark County School District student art contest exhibition and award ceremony at 11:00am. Awards presented by the Protectors of Tule Springs and other special guests. Art work will be on display in the Grand Hall.

Meet the Protectors of Tule Springs while you visit the Museum. They will have an information table set up and will also offer short presentations on Tule Spring Fossil Beds National Monument, including info on Ice Age mammals, history of the area, what the future holds, and more.

Visitors young and old can explore fossil discovery through a fun and tasty activity, plus see, touch, and learn more about fossils.
