At the Las Vegas Science & Natural History Museum, we are on a mission to inspire a better understanding and appreciation of the natural world, the sciences, and ourselves through educational exhibits, programming, and research.

What Our Volunteers Do

As a volunteer at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, you play a vital role in our mission to inspire curiosity and wonder about the natural world.

Meet visitors in exhibits and share fascinating facts about natural history

Help with special events like SciFest Vegas and the annual Dinosaur Ball

Engage with families during weekend activities and workshops

Assist with educational programs for school groups and summer camps

Support behind-the-scenes work in collections and research

Maintain exhibit areas and help with museum operations

Requirements & Expectations

Commit to at least 4 hours per month

Show enthusiasm for science and education

Be at least 16 years old (14-15 with parent/guardian)

Enjoy working with diverse audiences of all ages

Complete safety training

Follow museum policies and procedures
