Teaching Trunks

Our Teaching Trunks are hands on learning kits which are available to classrooms for FREE!

The kit themes are, Marine Life, Dinosaurs Fossils, and Nevada Fossils plus new Trunks are coming soon. Each trunk contains a unique interactive teaching Power Point, learning activities, experiments, grade level structured-lesson plans, models and specimens aligned with state and national standards. Teaching Trunks are available to rent for 1week at a time. Their is a wait for some trunks so it is recommended to reserve yours at the beginning of the year.

The Dinosaur Trunk

(Grades K-3rd) &

(Grades 4th-5th)

Inside this trunk students will learn how to identify fossils.
Examine real dinosaur bones.
Learn how to catalog them.
Discover researcher careers.
A vocabulary list is also provided.

The Coral Reef Marine Trunk

(Grades 2nd-3rd)

Inside this trunk students will learn about ocean ecosystems.
Explore unique marine species and their adaptations.
This trunk contains real fossil corals from coral reefs.
Discovery marine careers.
A vocabulary list is provided.

Seashell Marine Trunk

(Grades 2nd-3rd)

Inside this trunk students will learn about ocean ecosystems.
Identify various seashells.
This trunk contains real seashells.
Discovery marine careers.
A vocabulary list is provided.

The Nevada Trunk

(Grades 3rd-5th)

Inside this trunk students will learn all about Nevada wildlife. They can examine real specimens while discovering adaptations and habitats. Students will also learn about Nevada parks and how to volunteer. A vocabulary list also provided.
