December to Remember - Artist Submission Form

This year’s A December to Remember exhibition celebrates the warmth, comfort, and connection that bring communities together during the holiday season. Artists are invited to explore how their unique cultures, traditions, and personal experiences inspire feelings of joy and belonging, highlighting the many ways we find light and connection during this special time of year.

● Maximum size: 80” x 30” x 78”

● No video submissions

Schedule

Call to Artists Opens: Monday, October 19, 2026

Call to Artists Closes: Friday, November 13, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT

Notifications Issued: Monday, November 16, 2026 – Wednesday, November 18, 2026

Drop-off Artwork: Thursday, November 19, 2026 – Wednesday, November 25, 2026 (between 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM PT)

Exhibition Dates: Tuesday, December 1, 2026 – Sunday, January 10, 2026

December to Remember Showcase: Saturday, December 12, 2026

Pick Up Artwork: Tuesday, January 12, 2027 – Friday, January 15, 2027 (by 4:00 PM each day)

Artwork Abandonment Date: Any artwork remaining at the Museum after January 15, 2027 will automatically become property of the Museum, as noted in the temporary loan agreement.

Artists may submit up to three artworks for consideration. Please complete the following section for each work submitted.

Artist Features & Media Opportunities

Throughout the exhibition, the Museum may have opportunities to highlight participating artists through media, interviews, and additional storytelling. Participation in these opportunities is completely optional and will not affect artwork selection.

Would you be interested in being contacted about opportunities to speak about your artwork or participate in artist features? Opportunities may include Museum interviews, television or news segments, blog posts, social media features, or other media.

Selecting “Yes” or “Maybe” gives the Museum permission to contact you about potential opportunities but does not commit you to participating.

Would you be willing to record a short audio artist statement about your artwork for visitors to hear as part of the exhibition? An audio artist statement would give you an opportunity to speak about your artwork, inspiration, or connection to the exhibit
