About the Event

Discover how Native American communities, including the Yaqui and Blackfoot peoples, shared stories and history through powerful visual symbols. In this hands-on program, participants will explore the meaning of ancient symbols and learn how art was used to record important events, beliefs, and traditions. Guests will then create their own pictographs inspired by these cultural practices.


This program is recommended for all ages.


Included with museum admission or membership. Craft supplies are limited; first come, first served.
