About the Event
Early Explorers: Are Vampires Real? invites young learners to explore a spooky question through stories and real science. We’ll read Dear Vampire by Nancy Kelly Allen, then use the story as a springboard to investigate “vampires” in the natural world—animals that drink blood. Children will learn why some animals have this unusual adaptation, where they live, and how they survive, all in an age-appropriate, not-too-scary format.
Along the way, participants will practice listening, observation, and asking questions as we separate make-believe monsters from real-life wildlife.
Designed for learners 7 years and younger.
Included with museum admission or membership. Supplies are limited; first come, first served.
