About the Event
Discover an inspiring conservation story in Early Explorers: Butterfly Storytime! In 2009, a student-led effort helped make the Kamehameha Butterfly the state insect of Hawaii—sparking an island-wide movement to protect this special species from extinction. In this bright, engaging storytime, young learners will learn about the butterfly’s life and habitat, and how communities can work together to help wildlife. After the story, participants will create their own butterfly craft to take home.
Designed for learners 6 years and younger.
Included with museum admission or membership. Craft supplies are limited; first come, first served.
