About the Event
Early Explorers: Mummy Storytime invites young learners to discover the real science and history behind mummies—no spooky movie myths required. Through an engaging, age-appropriate storytime, children will learn why mummification was important in Ancient Egypt and the basic steps Ancient Egyptians used to preserve the dead.
We’ll also explore what archaeologists and scientists can learn from mummies today, from daily life in the ancient world to clues about health, culture, and beliefs. This program is designed to spark curiosity and thoughtful questions in a welcoming environment for early learners.
Designed for learners 7 years and younger.
