About the Event
Fiber to Fashion: Spinning Cotton into Yarn invites guests to explore the journey from plant fiber to finished textile. Participants will learn how cotton and other plant fibers are cleaned, prepared, and transformed into material that can be woven, stitched, and worn. Then, guests will get hands-on and practice traditional spinning techniques by turning cotton balls into yarn.
This workshop blends history, science, and making—perfect for curious learners who want to understand how everyday materials are created and try a classic skill for themselves.
Recommended for all ages.
