About the Event
Library Fossil Lab: Build-a-Bone Creature Challenge welcomes special guests from the Clark County Library Fossil Lab for a creative, hands-on paleontology program. Families will learn how paleontologists use fossil clues to understand prehistoric animals—then put those skills to the test by working together to create their own creature using foam “fossil” bones.
After building, families can take photos of their creations and continue the fun at home with a take-home paleoart worksheet and colored pencils, using art and storytelling to imagine the life and habitat of their creature. We’ll also have free books available to give away during the event, while supplies last.
Recommended for all ages.
Included with museum admission or membership. Supplies are limited; first come, first served. Free books available while supplies last.
