About the Event
Interactive geography lesson to learn about how information was spread through the Pony Express. Channel your inner “Buffalo Bill”! Students are transported back in time to 1860 as Pony Express riders who have to carry a message from Nebraska to California about Abraham Lincoln being elected US President. During this guided imagery presentation, students are asked to close their eyes as they journey through multiple states and experience a fierce thunderstorm. What states did they cross? Was the delivery successful?
