About the Event
Discover the wonders of urban ecology in Scientist Spotlight: Deja Perkins! In this engaging program, participants ages 6 and up will learn about Deja Perkins, an urban ecologist who studies the interactions between plants, animals, and people in city environments. Through interactive activities and observation, young scientists will explore how ecosystems exist everywhere—even in our own neighborhoods—while celebrating the important contributions of Black scientists in STEM.
Recommended for ages 6 and up.
Included with museum admission or membership. Supplies are limited; first come, first served.
