About the Event

Put your engineering skills to the test in this STEAM Challenge: Erosion & Flood Risk Reduction! Participants will learn about Hattie Scott Peterson, a geologist and environmental scientist who studied how erosion and flooding affect communities. Then, dive into a hands-on challenge to design and build models that slow erosion and reduce flood risk. Using creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving, young engineers will test their ideas, observe how water moves across land, and improve their designs—just like real scientists and engineers.

Recommended for ages 6 and up.

Included with museum admission or membership. Supplies are limited; first come, first served. Your child earns a free Cane’s children’s combo when you participate in this activity and fill out a quick parent survey!

Achievement Awards are generously offered by one of the newest Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers locations, which is also located the closest to the museum on Fremont and Eastern, 2231 East…
