About the Event
Step into the shoes of a civil engineer in STEAM Challenge: Hoover Dam! In this Scientist Spotlight program for ages 6 and up, participants will learn about Elsie Eaves, a trailblazer in civil engineering who contributed to major infrastructure projects. Young engineers will dive into a hands-on challenge, building towers, bridges, or other structures using simple materials and testing them for strength, balance, and creativity—just like real engineers. This program celebrates the achievements of women in engineering and encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and creative design.
Recommended for ages 6 and up.
Included with museum admission or membership. Supplies are limited; first come, first served. Your child earns a free Cane’s children’s combo when you participate in this activity and fill out a quick parent survey!
