About the Event
Explore the world of invention and problem-solving in STEAM Challenge: Irrigation Innovation! Participants will learn about Elijah McCoy, a brilliant inventor whose ideas improved machines and everyday life. Inspired by McCoy’s innovative spirit, students will dive into a hands-on challenge—using cups, tubing, and sponges to design simple irrigation systems that efficiently deliver water to “plants.” Experiment, test, and improve your designs just like real inventors tackling real-world problems.
Recommended for ages 6 and up.
Included with museum admission or membership. Supplies are limited; first come, first served. Your child earns a free Cane’s children’s combo when you participate in this activity and fill out a quick parent survey!
Achievement Awards are generously offered by one of the newest Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers locations, which is also located the closest to the museum on Fremont and Eastern, 2231 East Fremont Street.
