About the Event

Kwanzaa is an annual holiday was created by Maulana Karenga in the United States in 1966 and has since spread since to other areas of the world. Kwanzaa is celebrated from Monday, December 26th to Sunday, January 1 and celebrates African family and social values:

  • Unity (umoja)

  • Self-determination (kujichagulia)

Join us for a cultural presentation on the history and significance of Kwanzaa by special guest Ellis Rice.

This program is presented in English and is recommended for all ages!
