About the Event
Woven Throughout History: Flower Embroidery with Aleida Castro continues our Woven Throughout History series, which explores the cultural history of textiles through hands-on making. In this drop-in workshop, participants will learn embroidery techniques that honor Mexican floral embroidery traditions and patterns. With pre-made cardboard templates, yarn, and plastic needles, guests will practice stitching designs in an approachable, beginner-friendly format—perfect for first-time stitchers and experienced makers alike.
Participants will leave with the crafts they create during the workshop, making this a fun, creative way to connect with textile traditions and build new skills.
