This past week, our Full STEAM Ahead! Spring Break programming brought families and children together for a series of hands-on, creative, and educational activities. Each day offered a unique opportunity to explore the wonders of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. From crafting mosaic masterpieces to racing handmade rafts, the week was filled with excitement, curiosity, and a shared love for learning.
Science Saturday: A Community Celebration of STEAM Learning
We were thrilled to conclude our spring break with our annual Science Saturday, an event made extraordinary by the incredible support of our community partners. Their creativity and dedication transformed learning into an adventure for families and children.

Diverse activities showcased the power of collaborative educational programming. Visitors to the Las Vegas Clark County Library District's marine-themed Story Walk found themselves immersed in underwater worlds of imagination. Aspiring young detectives explored cutting-edge law enforcement technology through the Mob Museum's engaging Mob Mobile. At Girls Rock at Science, participants built DNA strands out of gummy bears, combining hands-on learning with a sweet and creative twist.
Caesars Heroes facilitated a cozy reading nook in our Geology & Ice Age Mammals Gallery, providing a quiet space for young readers. Do & Be Arts Academy challenged attendees with a life-sized tic-tac-toe. Meanwhile, the Nevada State Treasurer’s Office - NVigate provided families with expert guidance on planning for future educational opportunities.
Celebrating Our Incredible Volunteers

A special round of applause goes to our volunteer groups who brought energy and passion to Science Saturday. The National Charity League, Inc. (NCL), Caesars Heroes, and UNLV AED were instrumental in creating an engaging and dynamic environment. Special thanks to Cole for his work in the Paleo Lab and to Jadon for his engaging "Dinos in the Dark" activity – both helped bring the world of dinosaurs and paleontology to life, connecting us to the prehistoric past.
Looking Forward
We are immensely grateful to our community partners, volunteers, and the families who made this week truly special! Your enthusiasm and support transform our educational programming into unforgettable experiences.
